Seth Glier – LIMITED SEATING
October 24 @ 7:30 pm
Seth was first introduced to the Opera House audience by long-time touring artist Livingston Taylor. Liv told the audience that night that young Seth was a talent worth watching. We have been watching and listening this Grammy-nominated artist ever since and are delighted to be bringing Seth back to the stage this fall. With five albums, five Independent Music Awards, and even a U.S. State Department-sponsored international tour under his belt, Glier has also played with a diverse list of artists such as Ani DiFranco, Martin Sexton, James Taylor, Ronnie Spector, and Marc Cohn. His two latest songs “If It Wasn’t For You” and “Stages”, both released in 2020 as he builds to a full length album in early 2021. Inspired by Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, “If It Wasn’t For You” echoes the young activist’s own concepts about the transformative power of turning one’s trauma into gratitude and awareness. “Stages” captures the magic and secret joy that’s shared when close relationships evolve using the universal art of ritual. Glier plans to put out more music throughout the year while continuing to connect with audiences (virtually) using his eclectic, often humorous, and always insightful artistry. As with all shows during the Covid calamity, we have very limited seating available so if you are interested contact the box office at 207-633-5159 to reserve your seats. Tickets $20 advance. All ages. Showtime 7:30 pm, doors open at 7 for seating. Audience members are required to wear masks throughout the performance. Our goal is to keep the windows open during performances, so please bring a jacket, or blanket, if the weather is cold outside.
