SUMMARY:The Future is Here - Halcyon Strings & Alisa Amador
DESCRIPTION:Free Community performance.  Donations to support the Opera House encouraged at the door. What does the world look like when the climate crisis is no longer a problem we will deal with in the future\, but a problem we are solving in the present? SUMMARY:Heather Pierson's A Charlie Brown Christmas Concert!
DESCRIPTION:Singer/songwriter\, pianist\, song leader\, and performer with a passion for cultivating joy and harmony\, Heather Pierson and her trio brighten the Opera Hosue stage this holiday season. Her September 2024 album\, Back To The Light\, reached #1 on the Contemporary Folk charts and was deemed ‘flawless from beginning to end’ by Steel Notes Magazine. Heather takes as her inspiration the traditions of New Orleans\, the beauty of Appalachia\, and a healthy dose of Sunday-go-to-meeting celebration. Whether playing stride piano\, strumming her late father’s Gibson\, wielding a melodica\, or singing the blues\, the many iterations of Heather Pierson unite in a singularly warm and genuine presence\, both onstage and off.  This December the Heather Pierson Trio performs the entirety of the ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ album as recorded by the Vince Guaraldi Trio\, as well as other Guaraldi compositions and holiday favorites. The musical score for ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’\, composed by the late Vince Guaraldi and first broadcast in December of 1965\, is just as poignant and touching as the story and includes the hugely popular hit ‘Linus and Lucy’. Guaraldi’s gentle jazz riffs established musical trademarks that\, to this day\, still prompt smiles of recognition. We can’t imagine a better way to close out the calendar year than with Heather and her band on stage tonight. Happy holidays to all! Sponsored by The Messer Family. \nAdvance discounted tickets $25\, available directly from the Box Office or by calling 207-633-5159. Regular tickets are $30 and available online or on the day of the performance.

SUMMARY:The Boneheads
DESCRIPTION:Once again we kick off the new year with Maine’s favorite band (or at least our favorite!) with the arrival of The Boneheads.  This band of beloved songwriters and musicians always pumps up the heat in the House and helps us all fend off cabin fever.  Come out tonight to hear Bob Colwell\, Scott Elliot\, Dick Hollis and Steve Jones – and run into a few neighbors and friends while you are at it.  Doors open at 6:30\, music starts at 7pm\, and with it the 2026 season at the Opera House gets underway!  Tickets on sale beginning in November – and might we suggest you purchase early and tuck a few into stockings and under the tree this holiday season? The perfect gift! \nCall 207-633-5159 for tickets.
