Celebrating Windjammer Days and the USA’s 250th Birthday! Join us for this free community concert featuring the professional musicians of the United States Navy with Navy Band Northeast, based in Newport, RI. Expect a rousing evening of music from the American songbook, Broadway and patriotic favorites. No tickets needed. Doors for seating open at 6:30pm, concert at 7pm. Refreshments available including beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, desserts. All ages.

Other Navy ensembles performing in town, in celebration of Windjammer Days, include the Navy’s Jack Tar Brass Band performing at the Eastside Waterfront Park at noon on Wednesday, June 24. Bring your own chair, and maybe a sandwich, as you listen to the band and watch the windjammers sailing into town behind the band!  Also on Wednesday, the Navy’s Crosswinds Woodwind Ensemble will perform a free concert on the steps of the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library at 2pm.  Both the brass and woodwind concerts will be approximately an hour in length. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, these outdoor concerts on Wednesday will be moved to the Opera House. We are praying for good weather, but offer a dry stage and seating if it rains on Wednesday.
